Far Eastern Aquaculture Association uniting mariculture companies of Vladivostok and Sakhalin has asked the Federal Fisheries Agency to reactivate issue of credits to seafood farms which has been delayed recently, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to PrimaMedia.

More specifically, Vladivostok-based company Biobank cannot receive the second stage of credit for nearly one year to continue construction of trepang reproduction plant in the village of Veselyi Yar near Vladivostok.

When launched the plant's turnover is designed to reach 5 million USD per year. The local credit committee of Russian Agricultural Bank has made a decision to resume issue of credits in early May and the Far Eastern Aquaculture Association has asked the Federal Fisheries Agency to accelerate issue of credits to mariculture companies, including Biobank.
