In the first quarter 2021 Vladivostok Fish Port has sharply increased seafood turnover year-on-year, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to the Port’s Authority, in the first quarter, the cargo turnover of JSC Vladivostok Sea Fish Port in its main activity of transshipment of fish products exceeded the results of the same period last year by 56%. For 3 months, the business handled 85 thousand tons of fish-an absolute record for this period in the entire history of the enterprise.

The port says that the implementation of plans to increase cargo turnover was made possible thanks to a comprehensive modernization and the use of modern logistics methods. In particular, in 2021 the one-time fish cold storage capacity reached 47 thousand tons. Since the beginning of the year, the port's infrastructure has also allowed to receive 79 vessels with fish cargo to display a rise of 43% versus the first quarter of 2020.

The convenient format of customer service under the "one window" system has contributed to the growth of the port's competitiveness. The principle of integrated service includes a full cycle from the mooring of vessels with fish products to shipment to the final consignee.
