November 25, 2014 09:19

HB Grandi recently signed a contract with Íslenskir Adalverktakar (IAV). The contract is for a new 1,440 square metre extension for the fish processing plant and a 260 square metre facility for waste handling and storage for fishing gear.

According to CEO Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson, the new building extension will contain a workshop for both the fishing and processing divisions as well as storage space for packaging.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on November 21st following the signing of the contract.

The construction is expected to be completed mid-year 2015. This will bring all of HB Grandi’s activities in Reykjavik together into a single location, as currently the fishing gear facility and workshops are located off-site.
