Vladivostok Fish Terminal received MSC certificate

August 9, 2021 00:02

Vladivostok Fish Terminal LLC (a subsidiary of Vladivostok Fish Port) has received MSC chain of custody certificate, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to the Port, the award of an environmental certificate is the main requirement for companies involved in the supply chain of fish products to the EU countries. The MSC label, proving compliance with the standards of the Marine Stewardship Council, provides the terminal’s customers with the opportunity to expand export shipments and increase competitiveness in the foreign markets.

Eco-labeling also helps to exclude illegally caught products during fish turnover, confirming compliance with the requirements of national and international legislation.

For transshipment of fish products for export to Europe, Vladivostok Fish Terminal has been assigned the HS code No. RU-025/UZ37709.

In the first half of 2021, the cargo turnover of the port as regards the transshipment of fish products amounted to 243 thousand tons, including goods in containers. This is an absolute record in the entire history of the company.
