Russian company Dobroflot completed construction of a new APO processing plant in the Far East Primorsky Territory.

The project factory is implemented under the government program on investment quotas linked to construction of new processing facilities. The plant’s daily capacity will be more than 110 tonnes of finished products including fillets, minced fish, fishmeal and fish oil.

The factory will process raw Alaska pollock harvested in the Primorye subarea, where the company has a quota of around 4000 tonnes. It will also be able to process frozen pollock and herring sourced from the fishing areas in the Far East. According to the schedule, the plant will start processing operations in 2020.

At the second stage of the project, the company will build a logistics complex and a 15,000-tonne cold store.

Dobroflot estimated total investments into the venture at ca.3.5 billion rubles (€47.6 million) of which 1.5bln rubles already invested.

The combine will provide 1600 jobs in the area.
