HB Grandi hf. has decided not to participate in the annual Seafood Expo Global in Brussels this year, which will be held on April 26.-28 and is one of the largest of its kind globally. A group of 27 employees was scheduled to attend the event. The company’s presence at the expo has been increasing over the past years, the primary objectives being to introduce the company’s products to seafood buyers and strengthen relationships with partners around the world, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to the company.

After careful consideration, HB Grandi management feels it is not justifiable to send employees to Brussels, as is it unclear whether their safety can be sufficiently secured following the recent terrorist actions in the city. In addition, being in Brussels can potentially cause employees and their families discomfort and anxiety. HB Grandi has a strong relationship with its customers around the world and will further strengthen these ties in other ways this year. The company plans to exhibit next year.
