Best Alaska Fish Taco found in Montana - Voting for People's Choice Award Started February 15, 2011

The winner of the 1st Ever Wild Alaska Fish Taco Recipe Contest is Edwina Gadsby of Great Falls, Montana. Gadsby's winning recipe is titled: Black Thai Grilled Alaska Cod Tacos with Green Papaya Slaw and Sambal Crema. The contest, hosted by the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) and celebrity chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, aimed to seek out the best fish taco in America, reports with reference to ASMI.

Milliken and Feniger, chefs of the popular Border Grill restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as the Border Grill Truck, judged the recipes on flavor, originality, and ease of preparation. "What set this recipe apart from the other hundreds was the thought process. We loved how the marinade ingredients were later used as a sauce for the slaw. The Asian flavors were unique, and really worked well with the wild Alaska cod used in the recipe," noted Feniger. Gadsby will serve her winning recipe on the Border Grill Truck this spring in Los Angeles, and will receive a variety of other prizes for her winning creation.

Twenty other contestants are now competing for the People's Choice Award, which will be judged by the public. The winner will receive an iPad, and of course bragging rights. Voting begins today and runs through March 15, 2011. Visit to view the recipes and vote today.
