BASEAFOOD: Stable export to Ukraine
Mr Pham Cong Huyen-Deputy Director of Ba Ria- Vung Tau Seafood Processing and Im-Ex Joint Stock Company (BASEAFOOD) said its total export turnover in the first 8 months of 2010 has increased by 15% compared to the same period of last year, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Baseafood.
According to the report, by the end of August, BASEAFOOD has exported over 5,600 tons of finished products, worth approximately 10.4 million USD. In which, Japan is still the largest importer, followed by South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and EU.
Mr Huyen informed in the first 8 months of the year, the BASEAFOOD's export to Ukraine was favorable and unhindered. While in 2009, BASEAFOOD focused on exporting dried seafood to Ukraine, in 2010, it has seafood products introduced to this market.
