The Russian Salmon Company, a major producer of farmed salmon and sea trout in Murnask region, is working to build a more complete cycle of production, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ with reference to Rybatskaya Gazeta.

Along the lines, the operation is going to discontinue the dependence on imported feeds and smolt supply.

The plans of the company and other fish farmers in the region are being supported by the new governor Marina Kovtun and under the dedicated regional programme in excess of one million euros have been earmarked in order to subsidize interest rates of dedicated bank loans for the purchase of fish feeds, brood stock and equipment as well as for building, rebuilding and modernization of fish farms.
