PROPAK CHINA 2011
China's leading processing and packaging technology trade show, ProPak China, will once again be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre ( SNIEC), Pudong from 13 -15 July 2011. With 80% space already sold, total bookings to-date confirm this year's show, the 17th edition, will be larger than the record breaking 2010 expo. Over 34,000 square metres has been booked for ProPak China 2011, showcasing processing and packaging solutions for all industries including dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, snacks, confectionery, beer, beverages, FMCG and industrial sectors.
New this year is a planned pavilion of French companies organised by adepta. France will join the other regular supporters of ProPak China, from the world's leading packaging technology manufacturing nations including, pavilions from Germany's VDMA; Japan Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association; Korea Packaging Machinery Association; Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), UK; Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), USA and from Taiwan region the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, (TAMI).

Mr Brendan Jennings, General Manager of China International Exhibitions shared "ProPak China 2010 was the largest edition in ProPak's 16 year history in China, with 530 participants from 19 countries and regions. Analysis of visitors after the show demonstrated that of the record 14,754 attendees from 77 countries, 53.91% came from industries seeking solid processing, packaging technology while the balance came from liquid product manufacturers specifically beverage, fruit juice, carbonated drinks, beer and dairy producers in search of the latest technology".
Demand for space at ProPak China 2011 and the focus of technology on display reflects the dynamics of the Chinese economy. "The rapid growth of the Chinese economy will no longer be sustained by exports. The domestic market of middle income consumers is now the target for the fastest growing sectors of the economy" reported People's Daily 13th December 2010. Increased numbers registering for ProPak China to display technology mirrors these fast growing sectors:

- Snack foods and confectionary
