Stoller Fisheries' sole function is as a supplier of a gland which occurs naturally in carp. 2. Dried pituitary is delivered to fish-breeding facilities where are applied in the form of injections to stimulation of spawning of fishes. 3. Carp pituitary extracts are used in fish spawning operations for both female and male fish. With female fish to induce and increase spawn, with male fish to increase sperm production.
Carp pituitary extracts have a use in a wide variety of fish because of the predictable nature of the product and its non-harmful nature.
Carp pituitary extracts are currently used with: Carp, grass carp, big head carp and silver carp. Catfish, channel catfish and blue catfish. White sturgeon Tropical and ornamental fish including freshwater shark, Muskellunge and others.
